On the 5-day holiday from 17 August to 21 August 2020, Siem Reap Province lured a large number of tourists to visit tourist destinations, especially the floating market along Siem Reap river.

Tourists eat and enjoy taking photos on the built dock on the Siem Reap river.

Siem Reap provincial administration, in cooperation with Union of Youth Federations of Siem Reap, created many entertainment events, one of which is a floating market attracting a lot of tourists.

Hong Kreom, an official of Union of Youth Federations of Siem Reap, in charge of the market, told Information Ministry that tourists who came to the Siem Reap river visited and bought products sold at this first-ever floating market. They could also sit at the built dock and take photos.

He added that UYF was responsible for arranging the riverbank, including 32 food boots, 15 boat markets, 45 boats, 10 kayaks, and 5 longboats.

This event reflected the Khmer culture and the past of Khmer empire.
