Cambodia Reports 4 New COVID-19 Cases and 3 Recoveries
According to an official statement issued by the Ministry of Health on August 13, four new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed.
The cases are imported from Russia and Indonesia. Meanwhile, three Patients have been quarantined soon after they arrived in Cambodia from Russia through a Malaysia flight on July 19. Currently, they have been sent for treatment at Kompong Speu Referral Hospital.
Another 27-year-old Cambodian also tested positive for the virus after the 5th testing. He arrived in Cambodia from Indonesia on July 23, 2020, and is currently hospitalized at Preah Norodom Sihanouk Hospital at Tboung Khmum province.
On the other hand, three patients have recovered, 2 of them were successfully tested negative for the coronavirus after the treatment at Chak Angre Health Centre in Phnom Penh. Based on the report, the last recovered patient who is one of the United Nations peacekeepers also fully recovered.
The tally of COVID-19 in Cambodia increases to 272 cases, 223 of whom recovered.
