Poipet-Ban Khlong Luek border still shut down
Thainland has not decided to reopen Poipet-Ban Khlong Luek border checkpoint yet and will not open it soon according to Banteay Meanchey Provincial Administration.
Banteay Meanchey provincial governor H.E Um Reatrey met and discussed with Sa Kaeo governor H.E Woraphan Suwannus via a video conference on June 23rd 2020.
On the Facebook page of Banteay Meanchey Provincial Administration, “The authorities agreed on some principles that allow 50 trucls to enter the Rong Kluea Market, check and return goods to Cambodia. Each truck has two people who have to fill out health form and have a health check from Ministry of Health. Venders will not be allowed to sell in the market.”
The authorities agreed that the entrance to Thailand will be from 8am to 10am and the exit at 1pm.
The border has been closed since late March in an effort to contain coronavirus.
