New Siem Reap International Airport project gets a recognized master plan certificate
State Secretariate of Civil Aviation (SCCA) recognized the master plan of new Siem Reap International Airport project on 19 June 2020, according to SCCA.
H.E Mao Havannal, the Ministry in charge of State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SCCA), handed over the master plan certificate to Lu Wei, Chairman of the Board of the Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (AIAI).
“In the process of the construction, the company need to work cooperatively with the technical team of SCCA, focusing on the equipment and design,” said H.E Havannal.
This new Siem Reap International Airport project began its construction on March 15, 2020 and is scheduled to finish by June 2023 with the total of 36 months.
The new airplane is located in 700 hectare land, costing about $880 million.
