300 date palm trees in Banteay Srei district, Siem Reap
Nearly 300 date palm trees were planted in an orchard located in Skon village, Tbeng commune, Banteay Srei distict, Siem Reap province, according to a Facebook page of Banteay Srei govornor Go to Banteay Sei.
After three years, it comes to the first year of harvesting and it becomes a popular tourist destination for locals.
Phoenix dactylifera, commonly known as date or date palm, is a flowering plant species in the palm family cultivated for its edible sweet fruit.
Date fruits have a lot of benefits, some of which are to help ease digestive system and to prevent bowel cancer as well. Moreover, palm fruits help produce energy after half an hour of eating.
